Welcome to my practice, Health and Kindness. I am a registered nurse and a registered dietitian. With these combined perspectives, I bring over 8 years of experience in healthcare working with all ages, in settings ranging from intensive care, to primary care, to residential treatment and outpatient counseling. My own journey and recovery from disordered eating and overexercise ultimately led to my interest and career in nutrition, where helping others cultivate a positive and compassionate relationship with food and their bodies is my true calling.
My practice is a weight-inclusive, non-diet approach rooted in compassion, and informed by Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size. My hope is that my clients will find peace with food, discover body acceptance, and learn how to nourish their own bodies with kindness. My goal is to help clients of all body types, sizes, and identities feel at home in their own skin. I hope to provide a practical approach to my client’s health that emphasizes self-care and self-compassion to your self and your body, while also fueling your values.
My passions include eating disorders + disordered eating recovery and navigating body image concerns through the lifespan. I also have a special interest in working with patients with cystic fibrosis and other chronic diseases. As a former multi-sport athlete and a student of classical ballet for 10 years, I also have a passion for working with athletes of all stages and levels of competition, which informed my decision to focus my graduate studies on sports nutrition.
Currently, I also work part-time at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta providing outpatient nutrition counseling to patients with Crohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis; as well as working with individuals in eating disorder recovery at Walden Behavioral Care.
I am fully licensed to offer nutrition counseling in the state of Georgia and Mississippi: My office is local to the Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta, and I provide remote video consultation services to clients outside of this area.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling with my husband, trying new restaurants, reading, writing, yoga, playing with my cats, and drinking coffee.
